Use of your data
Which data we process depends on whether you only visit the site or also donate or send a form.
Your data is passed to third parties only where we are legally obliged to do so or where it is necessary to provide the service. We select all service providers carefully.
Technical data collected during your visit
When you visit our site the following technical data is recorded:
- Page visited
- Date and time of access
- Amount of data transferred
- Referrer address
- Browser type
- Operating system
- IP address (anonymised where possible)
This data is processed on the basis of the legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, to ensure the stability and security of the site.
Cookies
Our site uses only necessary cookies: to make the page work, to complete a donation and to run the security check. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking.
No Google Analytics or comparable analytics software is used. Fonts are served from our own server.
These cookies and the few settings we keep in browser storage — such as the screen orientation and the chosen city — are necessary for the service to work and therefore require no consent under § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG. Beyond that we store nothing on your device.
Service providers
We work with service providers to process donations, send e-mail and run the security check. A data processing agreement is in place with each of them, and they process your data solely on our instructions. Contact us if you would like the details.
Some of our service providers are located outside the EEA. Such transfers take place on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses or a valid adequacy decision.
Contact and correspondence
When you contact us by form or e-mail, we use your data solely to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). E-mail cannot be fully secured; please call us for sensitive information.
Donations and retention
Donation data is processed under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR to carry out the donation, and kept only as long as the law requires or the agreement makes necessary.
Do you have to provide data?
Browsing the site requires nothing from you. If you send a form or make a donation, your name, e-mail address and payment details are needed: without them we cannot handle your request or carry out the donation. There is no obligation beyond that.
